Tis the Season...Bridal Shows!!!

Every January, and then again in the fall, I get clients that ask me about bridal shows. Whether or not they are worth it, and can you really get the deals that they claim? The answers is yes, if you go about it the right way.
The usefulness of a bridal show really depends on where you are at with your planning, and what size/style show you go to. If you are looking for an opportunity to meet with potential vendors, go over their packages, and even possibly sign contract, look for the smaller shows. You might have to look a bit closer to find them, and your hall is generally a good place to start. It is common for banquet facilities to schedule these every so often to highlight their services as well as their preferred vendors. You won't be overwhelmed by hundreds of people, or booth after booth at these shows, but you will probably leave feeling like you have accomplished quite a bit.
The other option would be to go to one of those "big box" style shows that you'll see at venues such as The Palace and Rock Financial Showplace (January 19-20th). These shows offer a completely different experience. These shows pull you in with promises of discounts, contests, and many give-aways, and they do not disappoint! Be prepared for the crowds though, and bring your pre-addressed labels (the one's you get every other week from your local charity will be perfect)! It is an experience that every bride and her maid of honor should have!
